Join the ÅF Nuclear Trainee programme
The ÅF Nuclear Trainee is a unique chance for you to jump start your future. The programme spans a period of one year. During this time, you combine an exciting job as an engineering consultant with courses in nuclear power, safety and culture.
The trainee programme starts in August and lasts a total of 12 months.
The timetable includes three days a month of studies related to nuclear power and study visits. These courses will be held in various locations around Europe. You will also learn about project management and business skills.
Between the course days you will be working within your main unit where you are employed. As a trainee you will be assigned a mentor, an experienced person that will coach and support you.
Preparing for your future career
The aim of the trainee programme is for you to receive substantial, basic training in nuclear power technology, and later be able to develop yourself further to become a project manager, specialist or manager. For this reason, during the trainee programme you will receive a broad education in nuclear power, in which your knowledge and analytical ability will be put to the test. You will acquire technical knowledge as well as a deeper understanding of the nuclear industry and its culture, operators and history. You will also gain access to a substantial and wide-spread international network.
Who do we expect you to be?
You are a young and talented engineer, preferably with already some years of working experience. Traits that we value are your analytic capacity, power of engagement and the right attitude. A strong interest in nuclear power and a passion for technology is also expected as well as having strong drive to learn new things. If you are more of a team player than a solo artist you will fit well into our strong ÅF culture of sharing knowledge and coaching one another.
